1. Who operates CastMate

CastMate is operated by Kurama Arts (“CastMate,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy applies to the CastMate mobile application, its community features, and related services.

2. Information we process

Account and profile information

We may process your email address, display name, username, avatar, biography, country, region, fishing preferences, referral code, account status, and settings.

Catch and community content

We process information you choose to submit, including catch photos, species, weight, length, catch status, date, posts, comments, likes, follows, chat messages, reports, and other community interactions.

Location information

Location sharing is optional. A catch may include GPS information only when you choose to share it. You may also choose whether your current location is shown to other users on the map. If location sharing is hidden or disabled, CastMate displays a privacy indicator instead of exposing that location to other users.

Purchase and credit information

When you purchase CastMate Credits, Huawei AppGallery and Huawei In-App Purchases process the payment. CastMate may receive product, order, purchase-token, currency, price, and transaction-status information needed to verify the purchase and deliver credits. CastMate does not receive or store your full payment-card or bank-account details.

Technical and security information

We may process device, app-version, operating-system, diagnostic, security, session, and network information needed to operate, protect, troubleshoot, and improve the service.

3. How we use information

• Provide authentication, profiles, catch recording, maps, feeds, rankings, chat, and community features.
• Display content and optional location information according to your choices.
• Verify purchases and deliver, maintain, and protect CastMate Credits.
• Provide customer support and respond to privacy or account requests.
• Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and violations of our rules.
• Maintain app reliability, measure performance, and improve CastMate.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our rights.

4. When information is shared

Information you publish may be visible to other CastMate users. Optional location information is visible only according to the sharing controls you select.

We use service providers to operate CastMate, including Supabase for backend, authentication, database, storage, and server-side functions, and Huawei services for app distribution and in-app purchases. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, investigate abuse or fraud, or protect the security and integrity of CastMate. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Your location choices

• You can decline device-location permission.
• You can choose not to attach GPS information to a catch.
• You can hide or show your current location to other anglers.
• You can change these choices later in CastMate or your device settings.

Disabling location access may limit map or location-based features, but other CastMate features may remain available.

6. CastMate Credits and in-app purchases

CastMate Credits are consumable virtual items used within CastMate. Huawei processes eligible payments, refunds, and payment-method information. CastMate verifies completed orders before adding credits and keeps transaction records needed to prevent duplicate delivery, resolve support issues, and maintain your credit history.

7. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as needed to provide CastMate, protect the service, maintain required transaction or legal records, and resolve disputes. Retention periods depend on the type of information and the reason it is processed.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No internet service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Your privacy rights and deletion requests

Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain processing.

You may update available profile and privacy settings within CastMate. To request account or personal-data deletion, email us from the address connected to your account. We may ask for reasonable verification before completing the request. Some records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, transaction integrity, or legal compliance.

9. Age suitability

CastMate is intended for users aged 16 and older and is not directed to children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and address the matter.

10. International processing

CastMate and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international data processing.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as CastMate changes or as required by law. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate.
